Memories are the key to the future: How to design unforgettable donor experiences

When & Where

12:00 - 13:00, Monday 3rd July 2017
Cinema 1 - Level -2

Claire Routley , Richard Sved

Designing compelling donor experiences is becoming increasingly important in fundraising, from crafting the perfect thank you letter to developing an overarching donor journey. However, donor experiences also need to be memorable: research into lapsing finds that 11% of lapsed donors have no memory of supporting the charity, and we also know that there is a link between legacy giving and vivid memories.
This session will explore creating memorable experiences for our donors, drawing on the principles of attention, novelty and emotion. Attendees will leave knowing how to create memorable experiences alongside practical examples from both charities and commercial organisations.
