Adrian Adams is Head of Mass Participation at the British Heart Foundation and is responsible for activities such as DECHOX and MyMarathon. Prior to joining BHF, Adrian had spent much of his career in the consumer goods industry working on brands such as PG Tips, Andrex, Lynx, Flora and Hellmann’s. Having started his career in data and insight he has undertaken roles that include sales, strategy development and global marketing and values greatly the breadth of perspective that such roles have given him.
As someone who is new to the charity world Adrian feels that the risk BHF were prepared to take, ringing someone with limited charity experience into the fold, is the sort of bravery and risk taking that charities need to show more of in order to keep pace with changing trends.
Adrian’s passions in life are pretty much all sports, music and mindless trivia. As a member of MCC he can often be found at Lords enjoying the summer’s cricket a pleasant stroll across Regents Park from BHF’s offices. While he owns the famous yellow and orange MCC tie he has been threatened with divorce if he were to so much as consider buying the matching jacket.
