Job Role

National Function Manager

I head up the North office for JDRF, work on some national projects/campaigns and also run my own small time charity called BASIK (Build a School in Kenya).

I started fundraising life when I set up BASIK while I was at uni in Newcastle and Sue Ryder - Manorlands Hospice gave me my first proper job in 2009.

I spend my spare time growing vegetables in my garden, pickling some of them and love a cooking on fire session. Making sourdough, wood carving and sewing are my latest ventures. Do a bit of running, cycling, walking and enjoy the odd festival too.

The ultimate dream is to build a castle (21st century eco one) and possibly run a Gregg's franchise but I'm a way off that yet!

This is my conference debut in any capacity so looking forward to it!
